Michael Tenpenny

Owner/President

Michael loves playing a part in bringing both commercial and residential spaces to life. His 25 years in the Knoxville flooring industry have given him a great eye for the details! He’s our go-to guy for questions about life and construction. He is an integral part of our team and is always looking for ways for Henson’s to grow. When he is not in the office, you can find Michael hanging out on Cherokee Lake with his wife, Angela, and their dog, Rose.

John Letsinger

Owner/Operations Manager

John is our thinker/problem solver. He is always helpful at thinking outside the box to solve a problem. With 10 years of flooring experience, he is a great asset to our team. He genuinely loves interacting with his co-workers and helping customers make their homes and businesses look amazing. Outside of work, he is a motorcycle and old car enthusiast!

Will Pressley

Owner/Sales Manager

Will is the kid brother you never knew you wanted! He is one of our owners/managers and deals mainly with new build and custom homes. With 15 years of experience, he loves to take a customer's house from framed to beautifully complete. On the weekends you will find him on the lake with a fishing pole or at the ball field coaching his kids.

Anna Kate Nicely

Lead Estimator

As one of the youngest (and newest) members of our team, Anna Kate wears many hats! Her main focus is estimating and bidding on commercial projects. She also manages our social media page and handles our marketing and brand management. She graduated from the University of Tennessee Chattanooga with a Master's of Engineering Management. She enjoys being able to see the new projects happening around Knoxville and she loves being a part of the ground-up process. In her spare time, she will be found at the dog park with her puppy or cozied up in a bookstore with a hot coffee.

Kristina Vass

Office Manager

Kristina has been in the flooring world for about 5 years. She wears many hats but lately, she has been focused on Commercial Project Managing and Accounting. She works closely with her installers to make sure the jobs run smoothly and promptly. When she is not at the office, her favorite place is the lake. She enjoys traveling, camping, and kayaking with her husband, and spending time with her family.

Debbie Smith

Warehouse Manager

Debbie has been in the flooring industry for a total of 28 yrs with 23 of those years here at Henson’s. Debbie has an abundance of experience in all areas of flooring: from installing to selling! She thrives in her job and enjoys organizing materials, preparing jobs to go out, and helping the installers. She is a very talented craft genius and loves spending time with her family.

Steve Hall

Sales Rep

Steve is our most experienced salesperson with 44 years in the flooring industry. He loves meeting new people and leading them in the right direction toward the flooring of their dreams. In addition to his love for everything flooring, he enjoys building old cars and trucks, riding his motorcycle, and spending time with his grandkids. I am sure he can (and will!) tell you some great stories!

Kylee Crisp

Showroom Manager

Kylee has been with Henson’s for about 2 years but has been in the flooring industry for 16+ years. You could say that she grew up in a flooring store. What she loves most about this industry is the ability to interact closely with customers and help them make their selections. She has an abundance of knowledge when it comes to rugs, she can tell you the who’s who and the what’s what! She loves her family too! Most days she can be found at her children’s sporting events or shopping with her sister.

Cathy Schwarzkopf

Showroom Sales

Cathy has been in the flooring industry for 21 years. She is usually the first smiling face you will see when you walk in the door. She is always happy and eager to help with any task in front of her. She loves to help customers find their favorite rug and assist them through the purchase process. Cathy loves her family, especially her puppies! Most weekends you will find her snuggled up with a good book, or outside working in her flower beds.
